An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Shift Manager to join a leading UK manufacturer at its established, highly automated manufacturing facility in Leicestershire.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for production activities across their shift, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency and operational performance.

What's on offer for the Production Shift Manager?

• 
  Salary of approximately £60,000 per annum, inclusive of shift allowance
• 
  Annual performance-related bonus of up to 13%
• 
  Excellent pension scheme, with employer contributions of up to 10%, subject to contribution requirements
• 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working 12-hour days and nights
• Up to 26 days holiday

Key responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager

• 
  Lead, motivate and develop production teams, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and high performance.
• 
  Take responsibility for achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, quality and compliance.
• 
  Coach and develop Team Leaders and Supervisors, improving leadership capability and team performance.
• 
  Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, OEE, waste reduction and operational efficiency.
• 
  Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve operational challenges and improve plant performance.
• 
  Manage operational change, implement improved working practices and ensure consistent adherence to site procedures and standards.
• 
  Monitor shift performance, identify improvement opportunities and ensure effective communication and handovers.

Experience we're looking for
We are keen to hear from experienced Production Shift Managers, Manufacturing Managers, Production Managers, Operations Shift Managers or Senior Production Team Leaders who can demonstrate:

• 
  Proven leadership experience within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
• 
  Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop operational teams.
• 
  Experience of driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity and manufacturing performance.
• 
  A practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and operational KPIs.
• 
  Resilience, strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to manage change and challenging operational situations.
• 
  A hands-on, visible leadership style, with the ability to build trust, maintain standards and take accountability for results.

Experience within continuous process manufacturing or other high-volume manufacturing environments would be advantageous.
