Project Engineer / Project Manager - MechanicalLocation: Leicester
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
Are you an experienced Project Engineer or Project Manager with a mechanical engineering background? Looking for a new opportunity where you can manage projects from initial design through to installation and commissioning?
We're looking for a Project Engineer to join an expanding technical team, managing projects valued up to £600k.
The Role
- Producing 2D AutoCAD drawings, including general arrangements and fabrication drawings (3D advantageous).
- Carrying out site surveys and liaising with customers.
- Ordering parts and coordinating suppliers on costs, lead times and quality.
- Monitoring project budgets and costs to maximise profitability.
- Organising and overseeing installation teams.
- Managing deliveries, site logistics and project schedules.
- Arranging commissioning and ensuring successful project handovers.
- Managing projects from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' Project Engineering or Project Management experience.
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 2 years' AutoCAD experience.
- 2D AutoCAD essential; 3D experience advantageous.
- Air systems or conveyor experience beneficial.
- Strong organisational, communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, suppliers and multiple projects.
