As workloads are steadily increasing, they require a Project Manager, to work within their fast-paced project team.
My client would also consider Contracts Managers with fabrications experience.
Project Manager, Package, Hours and Benefits
- £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
- Company vehicle and bonus
- 8:30am – 5:00pm (flexibility can be given), with an earlier finish on Friday’s
- 33 days holiday

Role Overview
- As a Project Manager, you will take full project ownership of delivering customer projects from initial order through to successful installation and final handover.
- Managing projects typically running over a fairly short timeframe, you will coordinate all aspects of delivery, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the high standards expected by our customers.
- You will be someone with a mix of technical expertise and proven project management know-how.
Project Manager Candidate Requirements
- A relevant mechanical engineering qualification (HNC level or above, or equivalent technical experience).
- At least 2 years’ practical experience using AutoCAD for engineering drawings and layouts.
- Good knowledge of mechanical fabrication / steelwork processes.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage priorities and meet agreed deadlines, along with excellent organisational skills with a strong focus on accuracy, detail and effective time management.
- A proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to make sound decisions and resolve technical challenges.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of industrial air system components (fans, filtration equipment, ductwork or similar).
Project Manager Key Responsibilities
- Conducting customer site surveys, assessing requirements and supporting effective system design.
- Producing general arrangement drawings, fabrication details and relevant technical documentation.
- Specifying and procuring equipment, materials and components while managing supplier relationships, costs and lead times.
- Monitoring project budgets, controlling costs and supporting delivery of agreed margins.
- Coordinating installation teams, site activities, deliveries and logistics to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, quality requirements and company procedures.
- Managing commissioning, final handover and ongoing communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
