Job Description:

Project Manager – Groundworks & Civil Engineering

Location: Nottingham (Long Eaton area)
Rate: £350 per day (Freelance) or Permanent Package Available
Duration: Immediate Start | 8-Week Project with Follow-On Work Secured

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the groundworks package on a new build school project located near Long Eaton, Nottingham.

The project is currently progressing through the slab and drainage phase following completion of the structural steel frame, with approximately 8 weeks remaining to complete this stage of works.

This role offers excellent continuity, with a second school project already secured and starting immediately afterwards, providing a strong pipeline of work.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the slab and drainage package through to completion
• Coordinating site activities, subcontractors and programme delivery
• Working closely with the Tier 1 Main Contractor and project stakeholders
• Ensuring health & safety, quality and programme targets are achieved
• Managing site reporting, progress meetings and client liaison

Support on Site:

You will be supported by an experienced Site Foreman and Site Engineer, allowing you to focus on project delivery and client management.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing groundworks and civil engineering projects
• Previous school, education, commercial or similar build experience advantageous
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with Tier 1 Main Contractors
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid preferred
