Project Manager – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure
Swodlincote, Derbyshire

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a significant civil engineering and infrastructure scheme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Project Manager with a strong background in highways, infrastructure, earthworks and drainage projects to take ownership of a complex multi-disciplinary package from site mobilisation through to completion.
Scope of Works
The project includes:
- Section 38 adoptable highway construction
- Earthworks and land formation
- Foul pumping station installation
- Substation base construction
- Storm drainage infrastructure
- Attenuation systems and hydro brake chamber
- Watercourse culverting works
- Associated headwalls and ancillary civils works
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for safe and successful project delivery
- Managing site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Programme management and progress reporting
- Commercial awareness and cost control
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Ensuring quality, environmental and health & safety standards are maintained
- Managing project risks and resolving technical/site issues
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects as a Project Manager
- Strong background in highways, drainage, earthworks and utility-related works
- Experience managing Section 38 schemes desirable
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to drive programme and manage multiple stakeholders
