Job – Quality Assistant

Salary- £19,977.66 - £20,862.41 p.a. depending on experience and qualifications - Part-time term time only ( 28.75 hours per week )  

Holiday- included in pay

Location – Broxbourne Campus – Hours across Monday to Friday.

Closing Date – 20th October @ Midday

Hertford Regional College are recruiting for a Quality Assistant to co-ordinate and implement a range of quality assurance and improvement systems for the Quality Development Unit.

About The Role

To maintain and monitor administrative processes on behalf of the Vice Principal of Curriculum & Quality, Director of Quality & Learner Experience, Head of Quality, Head of Teacher Training and Advanced Teaching Practitioners. To design and produce statistical reports using appropriate software to support internal and external quality assurance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Logging incoming complaints

• Following up complaints to ensure they are dealt with in a timely manner

• Monitoring responses from Investigating Managers to ensure they address all points made by complainants, do not leave the college at risk of repercussions due to inclusion of any inappropriate information and that all letters are laid out appropriately in a ‘corporate’ format

• Create interim response tables and circulate to relevant college managers

• General administrative support as required for the Vice Principal of Curriculum & Quality, Director of Quality & Learning Innovation, Head of Quality, Teacher Training Manager

• Assist where necessary in relation to the lesson observation schedule and monitoring to assure that observations are carried out according to plan, as well as follow up on action plans

• Arrange and prepare for College meetings including Directors meetings, Curriculum Area Manager’s Forum and Inclusion and Impact Group. Ensure that follow up that actions have been completed

 About You

You will bring: 

✔ Relevant Professional or NVQ qualification at Level 2 / Business Administration qualification / ICT qualification

✔ English and Maths GSCE Grade C or 4 or above (or equivalent)

✔ Substantial administrative experience

✔Well developed data handling skills; ability to use Excel and other relevant software with confidence to produce reports to meet internal and external requirements in user-friendly formats.
