Can you confidently work with the Quality Manager, investigate root causes, and drive quality improvements on the shop floor?

The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Officer to join a leading manufacturing organisation supporting large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. Based fully onsite, this role will play a key part in maintaining quality standards, supporting inspections, and ensuring compliance across production activities. 

The Role  This role would suit candidates working in these roles:
Currently working as a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, QA Officer, QA Technician, Quality Controller, Manufacturing Quality Inspector, Production Quality Technician, Compliance Officer, Fabrication Inspector, or Quality Assurance Coordinator.
We would also welcome applications from these industries:
Candidates working within steel fabrication, precast concrete, construction materials manufacturing, structural engineering, and heavy industrial manufacturing.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Conduct routine inspections of assembled products, both internally and alongside customer representatives, ensuring accurate quality documentation is completed and retained.
• Perform regular quality verification checks on manufactured reinforcement components and maintain detailed inspection records.
• Inspect assembly fixtures and tooling to confirm they remain compliant and fit for purpose, documenting findings accordingly.
• Prepare and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), supporting investigations and corrective actions when quality concerns arise.
• Monitor and maintain quality performance records and KPI data to support audits and ongoing compliance requirements.

You will have the following qualifications and experience

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, engineering, or industrial environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and related engineering documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, communicating findings clearly, and implementing practical corrective actions. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and CARES standards would be advantageous but is not essential.
