The Job You’ll Do:

  • Assist in ensuring products are compliant with applicable Customer specifications and Industry Standards. 
  • Measuring, checking of products using a variety of equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable drawings, specifications and standards. 
  • Creation & Collation of documentation associated with new product approval. 
  • Support in ensuring deviation from drawing and specification is captured within the defined concession process. 
  • Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Conduct internal product and process audits, raise associated non-conformances and support implementation of corrective and preventative actions 
  • Support 3rd party and customer audits 
  • Conduct investigations into Internal Scrap reasons and implement corrective, preventative actions. 
  • Maintain calibration of measuring equipment through both internal means and 3rd party services. 
  • Lead problem solving activities. (5 Whys, Fishbone, Root Cause) to ensure robust corrective and preventative actions are in place. 
  • Support in creating Flow Charts, PFMEA, FMEA and Control plans. 
  • Correct revision control of Quality Manual, Procedures, Works Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Visual Inspection Standards, Customer Specifications, 3rd Party Standards etc in both electronic / hard copy format.
  • To support the Quality Department and all areas of the business in achieving agreed KPI’s
  • Interface with Customers and Suppliers through visits, teams meetings, e-mail etc.

About You:

  • Experience as a Quality Technician or similar within an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Problem Solving (8D reporting) experience
  • ISO9001 Internal Auditor
  • Ability to use MS Office (word. Excel, power point, etc)
  • APQP / PPAP experience is desirable
  • ISO14001 IMS (Integrated Management System) knowledge is desirable
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Can work alone or as part of a team.
