RE Teacher – Nottingham (QTS Required)

Location: Nottingham

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Start Date: Immediate / January 2027

Pay Rate: £130–£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Qualification: QTS required

Experience: Minimum 6 months’ teaching experience in a UK secondary school

Overview:

Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a dedicated RE Teacher for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled RE educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially Religious Studies / Philosophy KS5. Nottingham schools actively champion philosophical inquiry and diverse religious studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 RE curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Nottingham

• Plan, prepare, and assess Religious Studies and Ethics lessons in line with department policy

• Monitor student progress and facilitate respectful classroom debate

• Contribute to RE department improvement planning and SMSC development

• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching RE experience in a UK secondary setting

• Is passionate about RE education and student achievement

• Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills

• Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
