Regional Sales Manager

Midlands
£45,000-£50,000 Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission (OTE £60,000-£80,000) + Company Car + Benefits)

Are you a driven, new business-focused sales professional with experience selling packaging machinery into the FMCG sector? Do you thrive on winning new business, building relationships, and closing high-value capital equipment deals?

Our client is a leading supplier of innovative packaging machinery and automation solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Area Sales Manager to develop and grow business across the Midlands.

This is a true hunter role where you'll be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities with food and FMCG manufacturers. You'll manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and site surveys through to proposal, negotiation and closing orders. Capital equipment sales typically involve consultative, solution-led selling and longer sales cycles.

• Generate and win new business across the Midlands
• Develop relationships with food and FMCG manufacturers.
• Identify packaging challenges and recommend tailored machinery solutions.
• Conduct customer meetings, demonstrations and site visits.
• Prepare quotations and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate contracts through to order.
• Maintain an active pipeline and achieve sales targets.
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Essential: Previous experience selling packaging machinery.
• Essential: Experience selling into the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
• Proven track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong commercial negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and highly organised.
• Comfortable managing a field-based territory.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
