Clarence Recruitment is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Religious Education Teacher to join a warm and supportive secondary school in Leicester. In this rewarding RE teaching role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Guide students as they explore a rich range of religious, ethical and philosophical ideas.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment for lively discussion, debate and independent thinking.
  • Design inspiring lessons that spark curiosity, empathy and a deeper understanding of different perspectives.
  • Celebrate students' progress, monitor achievement and provide constructive, meaningful feedback.
  • Play an active role in promoting the school's values, inclusion and sense of community.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and enriching extracurricular activities.


What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education within a secondary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of world religions, ethics and philosophy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a positive, well-managed classroom.
  • A genuine passion for encouraging respectful discussion, curiosity and critical thinking.
  • A clear commitment to helping every student achieve their potential.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
