BTEC Applied Science Teacher – Level 3

Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum
Location: West Midlands / Predominantly Remote
Contract: Permanent

Think FE are working with an established education and training provider in the West Midlands that is looking for an experienced BTEC Applied Science Teacher to join its teaching team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering engaging science lessons but would welcome a role offering greater flexibility and the opportunity to work predominantly from home.

You'll be supporting Level 3 learners, helping them develop their scientific knowledge, build confidence and achieve their qualifications.

The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and supporting learners throughout their Level 3 Applied Science programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Level 3 BTEC Applied Science, including Biology and Chemistry.
• Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons.
• Managing learner progress, assessment and feedback.
• Marking assignments and ensuring assessment standards are maintained.
• Supporting learners to achieve their full potential.
• Participating in occasional face-to-face meetings and activities as required.

The role is predominantly remote, with some attendance in the West Midlands required throughout the year.

What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have:

• Recent experience teaching BTEC Level 3 Applied Science.
• Good knowledge of the relevant qualification requirements and assessment processes.
• Confidence teaching both Biology and Chemistry at Level 3.
• Experience managing assignments, marking and learner progress.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and deliver effective remote teaching.

A recognised teaching qualification would be advantageous.
