Residential Conveyancer
Location: Leicester (office-based)
Contract: Permanent, full-time

An established legal practice with offices in Leicester is looking to hire a Residential Conveyancer to join its busy property team. The firm is known for delivering a professional, client-focused service and offers a supportive environment for conveyancers to manage matters end-to-end.

The role
You will manage a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, providing excellent client care and ensuring files are progressed efficiently and compliantly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an end-to-end residential conveyancing caseload including (as relevant): freehold/leasehold sales & purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new build, shared ownership
• Open files, issue initial documentation, and maintain strong client communication throughout
• Draft/review contract documentation, raise/respond to enquiries, and progress matters to exchange and completion
• Review title, searches, and supporting documentation; liaise with agents, lenders, clients, and third parties
• Handle exchange/completion administration and post-completion tasks (as applicable)
• Maintain accurate file notes and ensure work is completed in line with relevant compliance and quality standards

Person specification (essential)

• Demonstrable experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload
• Ability to work independently, prioritise deadlines, and manage multiple files simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Confident communicator with a high standard of client care
• Comfortable using a case management system and working to process/quality requirements
