Job Title: Sales Office Manager

Our client, a leading organisation in Chesterfield with a long standing history of quality service and products, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Office Manager to lead their sales office!

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on Sales Office Manager to lead a small, busy team. This is a working manager role, combining day-to-day operational involvement with overall responsibility for office performance and processes.

The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who enjoys balancing people management, process improvement, and hands-on operational delivery. You will be accountable for ensuring the office functions as a high-performing unit, with strong systems, clear structure, and a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the sales office, creating a positive, supportive and results driven environment that maximises revenue and protects customer relationships
• Set weekly plans for the team, focusing on quote follow-ups, account reactivation calls, and new business development
• Review and monitor office performance, adjusting resources as necessary to meet targets
• Coach and develop the sales team on effective selling techniques, systems skills, and product knowledge
• Creating and maintaining robust processes that enable the office to operate effectively, even during periods of absence.
• Establishing clear responsibilities and strong working relationships between the office and wider operational functions.
• Monitoring performance, driving continuous improvement, and taking ownership of the office's overall results.
• Lead a monthly commercial review with the Commercial Director to align on performance.

Key Requirements:

• Proven track record of managing a small sales or service team
• Comfortable working with data, with the ability to analyse performance metrics and act on findings
• Credible and confident when handling sales calls and coaching team members
• Highly organised and consistent, ensuring routines are maintained
• Experience in trade sales and/or distribution is beneficial

This is a full time, permanent office-based role in Chesterfield.
