Sales Team Leader

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Sales Team Leader to lead, motivate and develop a team of sales advisers within a busy contact centre environment.

You will be responsible for driving sales performance, improving conversion rates and ensuring the team consistently delivers excellent customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of sales advisers to achieve individual and team targets.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including sales, conversion rates, call quality, productivity and attendance.
• Conduct regular 1-to-1s, call listening sessions, team huddles and performance reviews.
• Identify performance gaps and implement coaching and development plans.
• Drive a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.
• Ensure customer interactions meet quality, compliance and regulatory standards.
• Handle escalations and support the team in delivering excellent customer service.
• Work closely with management and stakeholders to improve processes and performance.

• Proven experience in a sales or contact centre environment.
• Previous experience coaching, motivating or leading a team.
• Strong understanding of sales targets, KPIs and conversion performance.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence and develop others.
• A hands-on, proactive leader who leads from the front.
• Strong focus on customer experience, quality and compliance.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience managing a sales team.
• Experience within financial services, insurance or another regulated environment.
• Understanding of FCA requirements and customer conduct standards.
