School Caretaker - Retford

Academics is a leading national education agency across the UK. We are currently have the exciting vacancy for a School Caretaker to support our schools across Retford on a temporary basis.

About the Role

As a School Caretaker in Retford, you will play a vital role in ensuring school premises are safe, clean, secure and well-maintained.
You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the school site, carrying out general maintenance and repairs, and helping to ensure the school environment remains safe and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.
Hours will vary depending on the assignment.

• Pay between £14.50 and £16.00 per hour, depending on experience, inclusive of holiday pay
• Paid via PAYE
• Flexible temporary work to suit your availability

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance or site management
• The ability to carry out basic repairs, maintenance and security tasks
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A reliable, proactive and professional attitude
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and school safety
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate (we can support you in obtaining this)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and codes of practice relating to facilities management
• GCSEs in Maths and English
• References to cover the last 24 months of employment
