School Operations Manager (SOM) - SEMH School

Location: Plaistow, Newham
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive - Dependent on Experience

Remedy Education is looking for a strong School Operations Manager to join a specialist SEMH school in Plaistow.

This position requires an experienced school professional who can oversee the day-to-day non-teaching operations of a busy school, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing daily school operations and administrative functions

• Managing office, support and premises teams

• Ensuring health & safety, risk assessments and statutory compliance are maintained

• Overseeing contractors, maintenance arrangements and facilities

• Supporting HR, staffing, procurement and operational budgets

• Working closely with senior leadership to improve systems and procedures

• Ensuring the school operates effectively within safeguarding and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Experience in school operations, business management or an equivalent senior management position

• Strong leadership and organisational skills

• Excellent understanding of health & safety and school compliance

• Experience managing staff, contractors and operational processes

• SEN/SEMH experience desirable
