We are looking for an inspirational SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Greenwich, working with pupils with severe and complex learning needs.

The school environment is highly focused on personalised learning, communication, independence and preparing pupils for their next stage of life.

About the opportunity

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that are accessible to pupils with a wide range of abilities and learning profiles.

The successful teacher will be confident adapting the curriculum and using practical, sensory and communication-based approaches to make learning meaningful.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons.

  • Set ambitious but achievable targets.

  • Support pupils with complex learning needs and autism.

  • Work alongside Teaching Assistants and specialist professionals.

  • Use assessment effectively to demonstrate progress.

  • Develop communication, independence and life skills.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils and families.

  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.

Why Greenwich?

Greenwich offers a strong specialist education network, including primary and secondary specialist provision and schools supporting pupils with complex learning, SEMH and communication needs.

This is an excellent role for an experienced SEN Teacher, or a mainstream teacher looking to move into specialist education.

ECTs with a strong interest in SEN are also encouraged to apply.

If you are an ambitious teacher who believes every child deserves access to a meaningful and engaging education, this could be the perfect next step.
