SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Coventry

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Coventry supporting pupils of mixed ages with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to build confidence, develop positive relationships and overcome barriers to learning.

The setting is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide individual and classroom support, adapt their approach to meet individual needs and work closely with teaching staff to help pupils engage positively with education.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs

• Confidence working with pupils across different ages

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• The ability to remain calm and consistent when supporting challenging behaviour

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
