About the Senior Drainage Engineer opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Drainage Engineer to join an award-winning, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering innovative engineering solutions across a wide range of development and infrastructure projects. The business has an established reputation across civil engineering, infrastructure, water, and drainage, working on a diverse range of high-profile projects.
Based near to Wimbledon, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Drainage Engineer to involve themselves within rewarding projects while playing an important role in developing the wider engineering team.
What the role of a Senior Drainage Engineer entails:
- Leading the delivery of drainage strategies and designs across a range of development and infrastructure projects.
- Take ownership of projects from design through to delivery.
- Produce and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, and drainage designs.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, planning consultants and other design disciplines.
- Mentoring and reviewing work produced by junior and intermediate engineers, ensuring quality and technical standards are maintained.
- Represent the business in client meetings and help develop strong long-term relationships.
- Support the continued development of innovative and sustainable drainage solutions.

Requirements:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or something in relation.
- Strong professional experience within drainage, civil engineering, or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of drainage design, surface water management and relevant standards.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting or mentoring less experienced engineers.
- A proactive approach and ambition to progress as a Senior Drainage Engineer.
