Senior Geotechnical Engineer

£35,000 - £45,000

A leading specialist consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Cardiff team.

The role offers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of geotechnical projects, taking responsibility for technical delivery while supporting the development of junior engineers.

The role:

• Managing and delivering geotechnical projects from ground investigation through to design
• Undertaking geotechnical analysis and design for a range of projects
• Working on foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and slope stability
• Reviewing ground investigation information and producing interpretive reports
• Providing technical advice to clients and project teams
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other disciplines
• Preparing technical specifications, reports and fee proposals
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Contributing to business development and client relationships

About you:

• Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or a related subject
• Previous experience within a geotechnical consultancy
• Strong understanding of ground investigation and geotechnical design
• Experience with foundation and earthworks design
• Comfortable managing projects and working directly with clients
• Chartered or working towards Chartership is desirable
