Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager / Head of Mechanical Division

Location: East Midlands
Salary: £80,000+ plus package
Position: Permanent

The Opportunity

We are working with an established M&E contractor looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager / Head of Mechanical Division to play a key role in the continued growth and development of its mechanical department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded individual who wants more than just running projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape, develop and grow the Mechanical Division, taking responsibility for its operational and commercial performance.

The company delivers a range of projects across the commercial, residential and leisure sectors, with project values of up to £5m.

The Role

You will take a lead role in overseeing mechanical operations, managing project delivery and driving the growth of the division.

Responsibilities will include:

• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running and development of the Mechanical Division.

• Managing multiple mechanical projects concurrently, with values of up to £5m.

• Overseeing projects across commercial, residential and leisure sectors.

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

• Managing project teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Overseeing procurement, programme delivery and commercial performance.

• Identifying new business opportunities and supporting the growth of the mechanical department.

• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

• Providing leadership, direction and support to the wider mechanical team.

• Working closely with senior management to drive the division forward.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background who has the experience and ambition to take ownership of a growing division.

You will ideally have:

• Extensive experience within the M&E contracting industry.

• A strong mechanical building services background.

• Previous experience as a Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, Head of Mechanical or similar.

• Experience managing multiple projects up to £5m.

• A background delivering commercial, residential and/or leisure projects.

• Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.

• Excellent client-facing and relationship-building abilities.

• Experience managing teams, subcontractors and supply chains.

• The ability to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
