Senior Mechanical Project Manager
Leicestershire
Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 + Package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join a well-established M&E Building Services Contractor delivering a major, long-term project in Leicestershire.
This is a key leadership role overseeing the mechanical package on a high-value, technically complex development. You'll be responsible for managing the project from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical delivery of a large-scale M&E project from inception to completion.
- Manage site-based Mechanical Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors.
- Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, civil and main contractor teams.
- Develop and manage project programmes, procurement schedules and resource plans.
- Monitor project costs, variations and commercial performance alongside the commercial team.
- Attend client, design, progress and coordination meetings.
- Review drawings, technical specifications and design information to ensure buildability.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, QA/QC procedures and project standards.
- Oversee commissioning, witnessing, snagging and final handover.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Project Manager within the M&E / Building Services sector.
- Excellent knowledge of HVAC, public health and mechanical building services.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
- Strong commercial awareness and programme management skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card and First Aid preferred.
