Senior Mechanical Project Manager

Leicestershire

Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 + Package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join a well-established M&E Building Services Contractor delivering a major, long-term project in Leicestershire.

This is a key leadership role overseeing the mechanical package on a high-value, technically complex development. You'll be responsible for managing the project from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical delivery of a large-scale M&E project from inception to completion.
• Manage site-based Mechanical Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, civil and main contractor teams.
• Develop and manage project programmes, procurement schedules and resource plans.
• Monitor project costs, variations and commercial performance alongside the commercial team.
• Attend client, design, progress and coordination meetings.
• Review drawings, technical specifications and design information to ensure buildability.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, QA/QC procedures and project standards.
• Oversee commissioning, witnessing, snagging and final handover.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Project Manager within the M&E / Building Services sector.
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC, public health and mechanical building services.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and programme management skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card and First Aid preferred.
