leading European data centre delivery specialist who are looking to appoint an experienced
Senior Planner to join their growing project team in
Vaasa, Finland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner to take ownership of major project programmes while working on some of the
largest and most technically complex data centre developments in Europe.
🔹 The Role
As Senior Planner, you will take responsibility for developing and managing project programmes across the full project lifecycle, from
pre-construction and procurement through to construction and commissioning.
You will also play a key role in client engagement, team leadership, bid planning and the continuous improvement of project controls.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing detailed bid programmes to support tender and bid submissions.
- Developing, maintaining and reviewing detailed master construction programmes.
- Establishing and managing project controls procedures for live projects.
- Preparing and presenting programme and progress reviews to senior management.
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of ambitious engineers.
- Taking ownership of the project programme and supporting other projects where required.
- Working closely with key stakeholders to monitor progress and proactively identify risks.
- Supporting effective problem-solving and programme recovery.
- Developing and maintaining schedules across pre-construction, construction and commissioning.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date progress reporting.
- Representing the Planning function at client and subcontractor meetings.
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Supporting account management and wider business development activities.
- Contributing to continuous improvement across planning and project controls.
🔹 About You
We're looking for a Senior Planner with:
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' relevant construction planning experience.
- Experience working within a main contractor environment would be highly advantageous.
- Strong experience developing and managing complex construction programmes.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject.
- Experience with BIM and digital construction workflows.
- Experience working within large-scale, technically complex projects.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, autonomous and results-driven approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within challenging project environments.
- Data centre, mission-critical or high-tech industrial experience would be particularly advantageous.
