Senior Product Manager
2-3 days in Somerset
£675 per day
12 month contract initially

The Senior Product Manager will lead the strategy, performance and lifecycle of a portfolio of new products.

The Senior Product Manager will be tasked with translating how our clients new products address new market wide legal regulations and defining a customer proposition to drive growth, innovation, and customer value.

The role will be working on Navigation Systems so experience working in aerospace, automotive or maritime is highly desired.

Responsibilities
  • You will lead a small team of Product Managers and work cross-functionally to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Own and deliver the strategic direction and product roadmap for your portfolio, ensuring alignment with the Corporate Plan and wider organisational priorities.
  • Take full commercial accountability for portfolio performance, including revenue, margin, growth, pricing strategy and investment prioritisation.
  • Define and execute the portfolio strategy, managing products across the full lifecycle to maximise customer value and sustainable growth.
  • Develop robust, insight-led business cases to secure investment and support strategic product decisions.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and shape priorities.
  • Use customer insight, performance data and experimentation to continuously improve products and guide investment decisions.
  • Partner with the Head of Product and Services and other senior stakeholders to agree strategic themes, assumptions and constraints.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Product Managers, strengthening capability in product thinking, commercial decision-making and customer-centric delivery.
  • You will need to be able to demonstrate experience considering a wide range of factors – supply costs and legal agreements, regulatory requirements, production costs, costs of sales, competitor products, value to customer and ROI
  • Maintaining a clearly differentiated set of products and services in an increasingly competitive and cost sensitive market
  • Experience working in an environment with a high degree of regulation and strong commercial pressures
  • Review a portfolio of legacy products to maximise their value to the business, developing strategies to extend their productive life and determine the right time and mechanism for their retirement
