Senior Refrigeration Service Engineer

Location: Calverley, Leeds / UK-wide travel
Salary: Competitive – negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Trident Recruitment are working with Pennine Refrigeration Services, an established and growing refrigeration specialist based in Calverley, Leeds, who are looking to appoint experienced Senior Refrigeration Service Engineers to join their dynamic team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer looking to work on a variety of large commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including CO₂, DX and chilled water applications.

The Role

You will be responsible for ensuring refrigeration systems are serviced, maintained and operating to optimum condition, while meeting customer requirements and maintaining safe systems of work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Service and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Work on CO₂, DX and chilled water systems
• Ensure systems are operating efficiently and to specification
• Work closely with service supervisors, administration teams and other senior engineers
• Complete work safely and in line with current Health & Safety requirements
• Plan and manage work to meet deadlines
• Work independently while maintaining strong customer relationships

About You

We're looking for an experienced senior refrigeration engineer with:

• City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
• Proven commercial or industrial refrigeration experience
• Previous experience in a senior engineering role
• Strong understanding of electrical controls and refrigeration principles
• Refrigerant handling certification
• Experience with soldering and brazing
• CSCS qualification
• MEWP experience
• Good understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety

Ammonia experience is desirable but not essential.
