Job description

Are you an organised, hands-on person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in getting things right?

We're looking for a motivated and reliable Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team at CoorsTek New Mills.

This is a great opportunity for someone with shipping, warehouse or logistics experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a manufacturing environment. You'll play an important role in ensuring materials and finished products are received, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time.

We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.

About the Role

As a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, you'll support the day-to-day activities of our Shipping & Receiving department, helping to ensure the efficient movement of materials and products throughout the site.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Manufacturing, Planning and Sales, as well as external carriers and logistics providers, to help keep our operations running smoothly. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of a variety of tasks while contributing to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pack and dispatch customer orders in line with company procedures.
  • Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, checking for damage, accuracy and correct labelling.
  • Verify quantities and documentation prior to shipment.
  • Generate and maintain shipping documentation, including packing slips, invoices and transport paperwork.
  • Assist with coordinating shipping priorities to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain stocks of packaging materials and shipping supplies.
  • Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock checks.
  • Transport materials throughout the facility using approved equipment and safe working practices.
  • Work closely with internal departments and external logistics providers to support efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate records using business and manufacturing systems.
  • Assist with training and cross-training activities within the department.
  • Follow all health, safety and quality procedures.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, dependable and enjoys working as part of a team.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience within shipping, receiving, warehouse or logistics operations.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using business systems.
  • Basic numeracy skills and the ability to work with shipping documentation.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to support colleagues when required.
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work for a global manufacturing organisation.
  • A varied and rewarding role with daily responsibility and ownership.
  • Training and development opportunities to help you grow your skills.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunities for career progression within CoorsTek.
  • The chance to play an important role in delivering products to customers around the world.
  • The opportunity to build your future with CoorsTek.
