Social Science Teacher – The Role

As a Social Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ subject knowledge, analytical skills and confidence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Social Science lessons

• Teaching students across the 11–18 age range, depending on experience and timetable requirements

• Preparing lessons that meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles

• Encouraging critical thinking, discussion and independent learning

• Assessing students’ progress and providing constructive feedback

• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and high expectations

• Supporting students with their academic progress and wider development

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the department and wider school community

The school is looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage students across different age groups.
