As a Software Architect at Logistex, you will be responsible for the overall technical direction of key software projects, leading a team of Software Engineers from concept through to deployment.

The Software Architect will take ownership of system design, task planning, functional testing, and integration support, ensuring solutions are 
delivered to the highest standards and aligned with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities for a Software Architect 

  • Lead, line manage, and mentor a team of Software Engineers  
  • Act as the lead Software Architect across multiple projects, ensuring robust and scalable system designs  
  • Take ownership of software architecture, technical decisions, and development standards  
  • Translate Functional Definition Specifications into detailed technical designs and implementation plans  
  • Plan, assign, and oversee development activities within the software team  
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support throughout the project lifecycle  
  • Support software integration, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance activities  

What are we looking for?  

  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (desirable)  
  • Strong C++ development experience is essential  
  • Familiarity with C and Java programming languages  
  • SQL knowledge would be advantageous  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire engineering teams  
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders  
  • Experience delivering complex software solutions within industrial, automation, or logistics environments would be beneficial
