Special Needs Teaching Assistant – close to Fleckney
Location: Leicester
Hours: 4 or 5 days per week
Contract: Long-term, ongoing

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a small SEN School on a long-term basis, working with pupils with autism and additional needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally within a specialist school environment. I have visited this school and it is a fantastic provision with amazing staff and facilities.

The role:

• Supporting pupils with autism 
• Providing in class support to a range of ages
• Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
• Supporting communication, independence and positive behaviour
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
• Creating a calm, supportive and nurturing environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND/autism but training will be provided
• Is patient and caring
• Can build positive relationships with pupils
• Is confident working as part of a team
• Is committed to making a genuine difference to pupils' lives
