Contract

£175.28 per day PAYE or £230.49 per day limited paid via umbrella company inside IR35

Our client is looking for an experienced Engagement Officer – Highways

Minimum 2 days in the office per week. Thursday mandatory.

Please note that this role is to support engagement across range of place-based projects, which will mean travel around the borough and flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to meet project requirements.

The Highways Engagement Officer will provide practical delivery support for a high-volume programme of priority highways projects requiring extensive community and stakeholder engagement. Working under the direction of the Consultation and Engagement Lead, the postholder will develop and maintain stakeholder maps, coordinate delivery of agreed engagement plans, manage engagement-related enquiries, organise and deliver in-person activity, track engagement assets and produce clear engagement reports across multiple schemes.

The role will work closely with Highways project teams, Communications and Engagement colleagues, elected Members, residents, businesses, schools, community organisations and other stakeholders. The postholder will ensure engagement activity is timely, inclusive, accessible, well organised and accurately recorded, and that feedback is communicated to the relevant project teams to support scheme development and delivery.
