Support Worker / Care Assistant – Leicester

Location: Leicester, LE4
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Shifts: Days and nights

Brookes HC Recruitment Ltd is recruiting Support Workers and Care Assistants for a residential care service in Leicester.

This is a full-time opportunity for compassionate, reliable people who can provide person-centred support and contribute positively to the lives of those using the service.

Shift pattern

Applicants must be flexible to work both day and night shifts:

• Days: 7:45am–8:15pm
• Nights: 7:45pm–8:15am

Responsibilities

• Supporting people with their daily routines
• Providing respectful personal care when required
• Promoting independence, dignity and choice
• Supporting emotional and social wellbeing
• Following individual care plans
• Maintaining accurate records
• Working closely with colleagues to provide safe, consistent care
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and medication procedures

Requirements

• Previous care or support work experience is preferred but not essential
• A compassionate and respectful approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability and flexibility
• Willingness to complete all required training and pre-employment checks
• Availability to work both days and nights
• An existing right to work in the UK
