Job description

Talent Acquisition Partner
£40,000 per annum
Hybrid – Bedford
Full time, Monday - Friday 37 hours per week

Are you an experienced recruitment or talent acquisition professional who is ready to have a wider impact than simply filling vacancies?

This is an opportunity to join an organisation where talent is viewed as a long-term business priority. As Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll work closely with leaders and hiring managers to understand their current challenges, anticipate future capability requirements and develop effective approaches to attracting the right people.

You’ll combine hands-on recruitment expertise with a more strategic approach, using your understanding of the market, candidate behaviour and recruitment data to influence decisions and improve outcomes.

The role:
  • You’ll take ownership of a broad range of talent acquisition activity, with particular focus on building stronger pipelines, improving attraction strategies and helping managers recruit inclusively and effectively.
  • Working alongside senior leaders and managers to understand organisational priorities, workforce plans and emerging skills requirements.

  • Creating targeted sourcing and attraction approaches for specialist, niche and difficult-to-recruit positions.

  • Establishing and maintaining high-quality talent pools, professional networks and external relationships to support longer-term recruitment needs.

  • Advising and coaching hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, including on objective, consistent and inclusive selection.

  • Analysing recruitment metrics and external labour-market information to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

  • Contributing to a positive recruitment journey, ensuring candidates receive a professional, accessible and engaging experience.

  • Identifying opportunities to streamline recruitment processes, improve systems and introduce more effective ways of working.

  • Supporting the continued development of the organisation’s employer proposition and approach to attracting talent.

About you:

You’ll bring solid experience within talent acquisition, recruitment partnering, resourcing or a similar field, together with the confidence to operate as a trusted adviser to stakeholders.
  • Experience developing recruitment strategies rather than relying solely on traditional vacancy-led recruitment.
  • Strong sourcing and candidate attraction skills, particularly for challenging or specialist roles.

  • The ability to establish credibility quickly and constructively influence managers and senior stakeholders.

  • A good understanding of recruitment markets, talent pipelines and the factors that influence candidate attraction.

  • Confidence working with recruitment information and data to support recommendations and decisions.

  • A genuine commitment to fairness, accessibility and inclusion throughout the hiring process.

  • A proactive approach and a willingness to question existing practices and introduce improvements.

  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with the practical delivery needed to get results.

  • Above all, you’ll be someone who looks beyond the immediate vacancy and considers what the organisation will need from its people in the future.

Ready to make an impact? If you’re looking for a Talent Acquisition role where you can influence recruitment strategy, strengthen talent pipelines and help shape how an organisation attracts its future workforce, this could be an excellent next step.

You don’t need to tick every box to be considered. If your experience is transferable and you can demonstrate the right approach, values and potential, we’d still encourage you to apply.
