Teaching Assistant – Redditch

Colmore Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Redditch. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work across both primary and secondary settings, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC) and ADHD.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils across primary and secondary age groups.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD and other special educational needs.
• Assist pupils with their learning, development and engagement in lessons.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.
• Adapt your approach to meet individual learning and communication needs.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

About You

• Understanding of Autism and ADHD, or willing to learn and develop their knowledge.
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils.

• Reliable, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference.

Previous experience working in a school, SEN setting or with children and young people is desirable, but not essential. Colmore Education welcomes applications from candidates with transferable experience and the right attitude.
