TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic mainstream Primary School based in the NG12 area of Nottingham, who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. This welcoming school boasts an 'Outstanding' OFSTED rating, a lovely forest school provision and a friendly, supportive staff team who are dedicated to creating a positive learning environment for all pupils.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities, provide small group and 1:1 support where required, and encourage pupils' academic and personal development.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

• Experience working with children in a UK primary school setting

• A good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum across KS1 and KS2

• Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
