We are looking for a hands-on Production Assembly Team Leader to support a small team within a busy manufacturing environment.
This role would suit someone with previous experience leading a production or assembly team who is still comfortable working practically alongside the team on the shop floor.
The successful candidate will support day-to-day production, allocate workloads, maintain quality standards and help the team achieve output targets.
The work involves small components and metal assembly, so excellent attention to detail, accuracy and a strong quality focus are essential. Previous experience using saws, cutting equipment, hand tools or power tools would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support a small production / assembly team
Allocate daily workloads and organise production priorities
Work hands-on alongside the team on the shop floor
Monitor productivity, quality and team performance
Ensure finished products meet required quality standards
Support and train new and existing team members
Identify and resolve day-to-day production issues
Escalate technical or quality concerns where required
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards
Support continuous improvement within the department
About You
You will ideally have previous Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Operative experience within manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication or engineering.
You will be confident leading people while remaining practical and involved in production. A good eye for detail, strong work ethic and drive to improve the team are particularly important.
Experience within fabrication, saw operation, cutting machinery, assembly, technical drawings or hand and power tools would be advantageous.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
There is a degree of flexibility around working hours depending on business requirements.
