Job Title: Technical Analyst / Technical BA
Location: Leopardstown, Dublin
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 4 days per week onsite
Contract: 12 months initially, with potential for extension
Rate: Circa €495/Day
Start: ASAP

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Analyst to join an established technology team supporting an Investment Banking environment.

The successful candidate will act as a key link between business stakeholders and technical/development teams, helping to understand business requirements, translate them into clear technical requirements and manage the delivery backlog through an Agile/Scrum environment.

This is primarily a Technical Analysis role, with the majority of the position focused on requirements analysis, documentation, data and stakeholder management. Jira and Scrum responsibilities will form a smaller part of the role.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong experience as a Technical Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation experience.
  • Good working knowledge of SQL and databases.
  • Experience working with Jira.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working closely with software developers and technical teams.
  • Ability to understand data flows and coordinate across multiple upstream systems.
  • Experience within Investment Banking, Banking or Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of ETL/data migration processes.
  • Experience working on data-intensive projects.
  • Experience with financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting client onboarding projects.
  • Experience working on regulatory-driven technology changes.
  • Previous experience working across distributed/global technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable requirements for development teams.
  • Create and maintain requirements, user stories and related documentation in Jira.
  • Manage and prioritise the product/backlog in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with developers, technical leads and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support sprint delivery.
  • Analyse data and work with database teams and upstream systems.
  • Coordinate with multiple upstream teams to resolve data and production issues.
  • Support maintenance and enhancement projects across existing applications and processes.
  • Contribute to new client onboarding projects and understand client-specific requirements.
  • Support regulatory-driven changes, including data, calculations and reporting requirements.
  • Help ensure requirements are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
  • Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
