Technology Support Analyst
Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
The Opportunity
Forrest Recruitment are currently supporting a growing National organisation with the recruitment of a Technology Support Analyst to join their established technical team.
Working as part of the Technology Support team, you will provide 1st Line technical support to colleagues across the business, acting as the first point of contact for a wide range of technical queries and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st Line IT support to colleagues across the business.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft Windows, Office 365 and Active Directory.
- Set up and maintain laptops, desktops and other IT equipment.
- Log, manage and resolve support requests within agreed timescales.
- Assist with system upgrades, installations and wider IT projects.
- Escalate more complex technical issues when required.
- Support IT security, backups, antivirus and system updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and user experience.
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and enjoys providing excellent customer service. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an entry-level IT support, helpdesk or service desk environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and the Office 365 suite
- Familiarity with managing and supporting users through Active Directory
- Basic knowledge of networking, including LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi, with the ability to investigate connectivity issues
- Awareness of IT security practices, including antivirus protection, backups and software patching
- Confident communicator with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and users.
