This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, regulated insurance business where you will manage your own portfolio of third-party motor claims, build deeper expertise in liability and credit hire, and develop your career within a supportive team.
You will have genuine ownership of your caseload, with exposure to more complex and higher-value claims. This is not simply a volume-driven role, your investigations, negotiations and decisions will directly influence claim outcomes.
What you’ll be doing- Managing a varied caseload of third-party motor claims from initial notification through to settlement.
- Handling associated property damage, liability and disputed claim matters.
- Investigating claims thoroughly and making clear, evidence-based liability decisions.
- Managing credit hire cases, including validation, negotiation and cost-control activity.
- Liaising professionally with insurers, solicitors, claimants and other external stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate claim records and ensuring activity is completed in line with regulatory and company procedures.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues while independently managing priorities and deadlines.
What we’re looking for- At least two years’ motor claims experience, ideally within third-party claims.
- Strong knowledge of liability assessment, negotiation and the motor claims lifecycle.
- Exposure to credit hire, disputed claims or more technical motor claims would be highly beneficial.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally with a range of stakeholders.
- A methodical approach, strong attention to detail and the confidence to make sound decisions.
- Previous experience working within a regulated insurance environment.
