Job description

As a Warehouse & Trade Sales Operative you will have strong organisational and communication skills; acting within the companies best interests at all times and supporting the team to provide great customer service.

Our Warehouse & Trade Sales operatives are an important contributor to the teams shared success and an essential part of our Customers positive experience with us.

Working hours:

M to F 7:30am- 5:00pm (One hour unpaid lunch break)

Every other Saturday 8:00am to 12 noon

Hourly Rate: £12.75 per hour

Holidays: 22 day plus Bank Holidays

Roles & Responsibilities

Contribute towards daily operations in the branch.

Provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for both employees and customers.

Provide quality and exceptional service to facilitate the customer experience.

Contribute towards operating the branch in line with company procedures and policies.

Work within operational standards to provide an excellent working environment.

Ensure the environment is kept clean and safe at all times.

Communicate effectively with your manager and ensure relevant reporting takes place.

Communicate personally with customers, where required, to ensure customer satisfaction.

Help to resolve customer complaints promptly and efficiently.

Support sales promotion activities including promotional campaigns & events

Participate in ensuring operational excellence and integrity of the branch.

Work within action plans to enhance operational controls and optimize customer service.

Support the team to deliver success and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement

Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.

Develop and maintain great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible

Communicate effectively with Line Manager to aid with time management of a multi-departmental job role.

Help to resolve supplier and returns issues promptly and efficiently.

Arrange for stock replenishment to mitigate shortages

Ensure stock availability levels are appropriate for the supply chain.

Manage monthly or seasonal demands for products

Provide and maintain accurate controls of goods inwards and stock locating.

Ensure accurate picking and dispatching of goods.

Effectively manage returns (customer and supplier) in a timely manner

Liaise with Line Manager to ensure the storages areas are adequately prepared for the annual stock take

Where required assist the delivery driver- including but not limited to- picking of deliveries and assisting in facilitating efficient delivery routes

Use our in-house systems to process to process customer quotes, orders, good inwards, organise delivery times, dispatch deliveries, liaise with suppliers, manage returns, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
