Trainee Finance Administrator

Job description

Kick-start your career in finance with on-the-job training and fully-funded accountancy qualifications.

You'll be paid to study one day a week at college, beginning with your AAT Level 2. The business will also support you all the way up to ACCA, so it's a real long-term career.

What you'll be doing

• Learning processes of how money moves in and out of the business, starting from the ground up.
• Handling invoices, processing supplier payments and managing incoming payments, resolving any queries or discrepancies.
• Playing an active role in the collaborative month-end process.
• Running reports.
• Answering calls professionally and responding to emails via the shared inbox.

What you'll need

• Above all, a genuine desire to build a career in finance.
• GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Some experience using a computer or laptop, and basic typing skills.
• Communication skills – to liaise with suppliers and colleagues.

Hours

39.5 hours per week: 8 hours Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute early finish on Friday. You’ll have one hour for lunch.
