Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be working with a well-established forge manufacturer in Lincoln to recruit Entry Trainee Forge Operatives on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career within engineering and manufacturing. Full training will be provided, so previous forging experience is not essential.

The Role

As a Trainee Forge Operative, you'll receive full training to become confident working across the forging and manufacturing process, supporting the production of high-quality forged components.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Learning to operate manufacturing and forging machinery safely

• Loading and unloading materials under supervision

• Assisting with the production of forged components

• Carrying out visual quality checks on finished products

• Learning to use hand and power tools where required

• Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards

• Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work

• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards

• Supporting experienced operators and the wider production team

• Progressing your skills and knowledge through on-the-job training

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, production, warehouse, construction or another hands-on environment is advantageous but not essential

• A genuine interest in developing a career within engineering/manufacturing

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

• The ability to work in a physically demanding environment

• A flexible approach to working rotating shifts

• Good awareness of Health & Safety

• FLT or overhead crane experience would be advantageous but is not essential

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn and keen to build a long-term career within manufacturing.

Shift Pattern

Week 1 – Early Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:15pm

• Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

Week 2 – Night Shift

• Sunday: 10:15pm – 6:15am

• Monday to Thursday: 10:15pm – 6:15am

Week 3 – Late Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:30pm

• Friday: 12:45pm – 6:45pm
