Trainee Team Leader (Production / Assembly)

Job description

We are looking for a Trainee Team Leader to join our client’s production team. This entry-level position is responsible for performing routine tasks in the assembly and packaging department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This is a full-time, Mon – Fri role with immediate start available for the right candidate. Salary for this role is £29 - £31k (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and package components following standard work instructions
• Perform visual inspections
• Accurately complete production documentation to maintain product traceability
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Support production goals by working efficiently and communicating effectively with team members
• Participate in cross-training to support flexibility across workstations
• Assist with inventory tracking and reporting material usage

Qualifications

• Hands on experience of 6 months to 1 year in production, manufacturing or warehouse industry is preferred.
• Basic understanding of hand tools and ability to follow written instructions,
• Quality conscious with strong attention to detail
• Ability to understand and complete paperwork
• Awareness of the importance of communication and keeping people updated

After completing role-specific training, you will proactively address issues and participate in continuous improvement activities. Ensure compliance with Quality and Health & Safety procedures while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. We are looking for someone who can deliver high-quality work on time and contribute to process and product enhancements.
