Are you organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment?

We're recruiting for a local, family-led business seeking a Transport & Fleet Administrator to help keep its transport operation running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

Working closely with the Transport Manager, Operations, and Compliance teams, you'll play a key role in coordinating fleet schedules, maintaining vehicle compliance, and supporting day-to-day transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining spreadsheets, databases, and fleet schedules.

  • Coordinating driver arrangements and supporting transport planning.

  • Monitoring vehicle maintenance, defects, inspections, and servicing.

  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure vehicle safety and legal compliance.

  • Monitoring tachograph data, drivers' hours, and compliance infringements.

  • Reporting speeding incidents and driver behaviour concerns.

  • Tracking tolls, Clean Air Zone charges, and other vehicle costs.

  • Making customer satisfaction calls and maintaining accurate records.

  • Supporting the Transport Manager and liaising with internal teams and customers.

About You

  • Previous experience in a coordination, scheduling, or administration role.

  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to plan and programme work logically and efficiently.

  • Experience liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

  • Confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.

  • Transport, logistics, or fleet experience would be beneficial, while water industry experience is advantageous but not essential.

What's on Offer?

  • £26,500–£28,000 salary, depending on experience.

  • Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, full-time on-site.

  • Occasional Saturday truck inspections, arranged in advance.

  • A varied role within an established, family-led business.

If you're looking for a hands-on coordination role where your organisation and attention to detail can make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
