Tutor - SENMD/SEMH

KS1 / Reception Tutor

We are looking for 1–2 tutors to work 1:00–3:00pm every day, primarily with our Year 1 cohort.
  • Experience teaching phonics is essential.
  • Experience delivering a structured phonics programme is preferred; we use the Read Write Inc. (RWI) phonics scheme and can provide training.
  • The role will primarily focus on supporting children who are just below age-related expectations and helping them to catch up.
  • There will also be opportunities to support children in Reception and Year 2, including some children with SEND.
  • RWI planning and resources will be provided.
  • The successful candidate should be well organised and confident in using assessment information to identify gaps and inform future planning.

 

In order to be successful for this role you must have:

  • A Qualified teacher status is essential
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH
  • Knowledge and the ability to tutor Maths and/or English
  • A passion for working closely with children in a relevant setting.
  • Ability to stay calm and patient and understanding.
  • Ability to work with the students both 121 and in small groups.
