Tutor

Help pupils achieve their potential through personalised learning

Remedy Tutors are looking for passionate, dedicated and experienced Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to children and young people across a range of ages, abilities and learning needs.

As a Tutor, you will deliver tailored learning programmes that help pupils build confidence, improve attainment and overcome barriers to learning. Whether supporting students who need additional academic support, exam preparation or personalised learning, you will play a vital role in helping them achieve their educational goals.

Sessions may take place in pupils' homes, schools, libraries or community settings, providing flexibility and the opportunity to create a positive and engaging learning environment for each individual learner.

The Role

As a Tutor, you will:

Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions.

Assess learning needs and identify areas for development.

Plan and deliver structured lessons tailored to individual learning objectives.

Adapt teaching approaches, resources and strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities.

Support pupils in building confidence, independence and motivation.

Monitor, record and report on pupil progress.

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, schools and other professionals.

Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures.

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from candidates who have:

Previous experience teaching, tutoring or supporting children and young people.

Strong subject knowledge within their specialist area(s).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organisation and time-management skills.

A patient, adaptable and positive approach to learning.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable Experience

While not essential, we would particularly welcome applications from candidates with:

Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Knowledge of Autism (ASC), ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH, Dyscalculia or other additional learning needs.

Experience delivering personalised learning plans or intervention programmes.

Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs.

Experience working with pupils who are disengaged from education, attending alternative provision or requiring additional support.
