Job description

Great full-time opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client's distribution centre for clothing and home products.

Staffline are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives in Hatfield.

This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, 5 out of 7 days, with weekends required. Sunday and Friday may be mandatory working days, with a split rest day during the week.

The hours of work are:
- Week One: 6am to 2pm
- Week Two: 2pm to 10pm

The rate of pay is:
- £13.86 per hour (6am to 6pm)
- £14.74 per hour (6pm to 10pm)

Overtime is paid after 37.5 hours:
- £20.79 per hour (6am to 6pm)
- £21.67 per hour (6pm to 10pm)

This role is best suited to candidates looking for a long-term opportunity who can fully commit to the rotating shift pattern and weekend working requirements. Due to the shift pattern, this role is not suitable for students or those seeking part-time hours.

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties include:

- Picking products accurately to customer orders
- Achieving performance and accuracy targets
- Handling and moving stock around the warehouse
- Being on your feet throughout the shift and walking between work areas
- Working as part of a supportive team in a fast-paced environment

This is a clean, modern warehouse environment with a friendly team culture. The role is active and involves plenty of movement throughout the day, but it is not a heavy manual handling role in most departments.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will have a positive attitude, good attention to detail and be reliable and punctual.
You'll be comfortable being on your feet throughout your shift and capable of walking around the warehouse for extended periods.

Applicants should be able to follow instructions accurately, remain focused and work well as part of a team.

As part of the recruitment process, candidates will attend an interview and complete a few basic assessments. These are straightforward but require concentration, engagement and attention to detail to be successful.

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
