At Response, we don't just provide support. We empower young people to overcome challenges, strengthen their wellbeing, and build brighter futures.

We're looking for a compassionate, motivated and inspiring Wellbeing Youth Worker to join our Youth Team and play a vital role in supporting young people aged 11 to 25 with their mental health and wellbeing.

If you're passionate about making a difference, skilled at building trusted relationships, and believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

This is more than a support role. It's an opportunity to help young people discover their strengths, reconnect with their communities, and develop the confidence to navigate life's challenges.

Why This Role Matters

Every young person deserves someone in their corner.

As a Response Wellbeing Worker, you'll provide personalised, holistic support to young people and their families, helping them improve their wellbeing, access opportunities, and build lasting support networks.

You'll work alongside schools, social care teams, health professionals and community organisations to ensure young people receive the right support at the right time.

Your work will help reduce isolation, increase confidence, strengthen resilience and empower young people to take positive steps towards healthier, happier futures.

This is your opportunity to create meaningful change, one young person at a time.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be:

? Providing one-to-one wellbeing support for young people aged 11 to 25

? Facilitating group programmes, drop-ins and alternative provision sessions

? Supporting parents, carers and families to better understand and manage wellbeing challenges

? Managing a caseload of young people and developing personalised support plans

? Building trusted relationships that empower young people to identify and achieve their goals

? Delivering social prescribing and signposting to community-based services and opportunities

? Supporting access to education, employment and training opportunities

? Working collaboratively with schools, CAMHS, social care teams, health professionals and partner organisations

? Helping young people strengthen personal support networks and reduce reliance on professional services

? Promoting confidence, resilience and positive mental wellbeing strategies

? Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service evaluation and impact reporting

? Raising awareness of community resources and helping young people connect with local support

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines empathy with professionalism and passion with purpose.

You'll ideally have:

? Experience supporting young people, families or carers within youth work, education, health, social care or community settings

? Experience supporting young people with mental health and wellbeing needs

? Knowledge of person-centred approaches and personalised support planning

? Understanding of community services and social prescribing approaches

? Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

? Experience working collaboratively with multiple agencies and professionals

? Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload

? Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems

? A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and reducing health inequalities

? A genuine passion for helping young people achieve positive outcomes

Even Better If You Have

? Training in Motivational Interviewing, Health Coaching or similar approaches

? Experience using CBT-informed or Solution-Focused approaches

? Understanding of Trauma-Informed Practice

? Knowledge of CAMHS and wider youth mental health services

? Experience working within community, voluntary sector or mental health services

? Experience supporting young people with complex emotional or mental health needs

? Experience measuring outcomes and evidencing service impact
