Workshop Supervisor (Construction) - FE College

£30 - £45 per hour | Full-time | Immediate Start | Contract until Christmas
Location: Loughborough (Stephenson College) (commutable from: Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Coalville, Melton Mowbray, Hinckley)

Are you an experienced Workshop Supervisor / Construction Technician with a strong focus on health & safety in a practical training environment?

Do you have Further Education (FE) experience and a hands-on background in construction tasks, looking for an immediate start, full-time contract role through to Christmas?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join an established college department in Loughborough, supervising the construction workshop and supporting learners to develop practical skills safely and effectively.

Working closely alongside the Lecturer, you will help oversee day-to-day workshop activity, support students with equipment and tool use, and ensure the workshop remains compliant, organised, and safe.

The Role:

• Supervise the construction workshop on a daily basis
• Work alongside the Lecturer to support practical delivery and learner progress
• Support students with the safe use of tools, equipment and materials
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, risk awareness and safe working practices
• Help with workshop set-up, equipment checks, stock control and general organisation
• Full-time, on-site in Loughborough | Immediate start | Contract until Christmas

The Person:

• Experience working in a Further Education (FE) setting (essential)
• Hands-on experience with construction tasks / workshop environments (essential)
• Strong understanding of health & safety within a practical training setting
• Confident supporting learners in a workshop environment
• Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
