Yard / Warehouse Operative Location: BuckfastleighSalary: £13.50 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm ________________________________________________________________________ About the Role
We are recruiting for a Yard / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established British manufacturer based in Buckfastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected local company known for producing high-quality metal products.
Working across the warehouse and yard environment, you will be responsible for handling stock, loading and unloading vehicles, supporting deliveries, and maintaining a safe and organised site, while supporting efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading materials, products and deliveries
- Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Carrying out stock control and goods-in/goods-out duties
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard area
About You
Essential:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Previous warehouse, stores or yard experience
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a busy environment
- Full UK driving licence and ability to meet the company's vehicle insurance requirements
Desirable:
- Reach Truck Licence or experience
- Previous manufacturing or engineering environment experience
- Experience using stock control systems
